Maggie Gentert

Maggie Gentert is passionate about stewardship and putting the world back together. She grew up in the ranching and farming community in southern Idaho. She graduated with a BS degree in Agriculture Science and Technology and a Spanish minor from the University of Idaho. She then spent two years working with food security for Peace Corp Guatemala, focused on working with women and encouraging low input methods, diversification of plant species and improved nutrition. Upon returning to the States, a time of investing in becoming well-rounded included reading the book "The Omnivores Dilemma." This new awareness coupled with some key connections led to her current involvement as a grassfed producer with the Winecup-Gamble Ranch, a progressive and holistically managed ranch in northeastern Nevada. They are focused on growing people, producing environmentally adapted, high quality animals that are used as a tool to regenerate a healthier landscape and doing it all in a fiscally responsible manner. She is also passionate about living simply, creating, and regenerating health through diet.
