Leveraging: This is the 2nd year FSA has been able to help Cole grow his operation. In 2011 he borrowed $4,200 to purchase 4 cow calf pairs. He was successful in selling the calves and paying his loan in full leaving him with 4 head of cows. In 2013 he decided to increase his herd, he applied for and was approved for another 4 cow calf pairs. He has already paid his loan a head. He plans to continue to increase his herd and eventually become operator of his on farm. Cole was 11 years old when he received his first loan he is now 13 and has matured a lot had has been caring for his animals without much supervision. He has been able to hire a few friends to help him when needed.

Background and Historical Data: Cole is now 13 years old and attends school in Monticello and is a member of 4-H in Monticello, AR. His father and grandfather have farmed for years and he has the same love for the cattle operation. He began with his on operation at 11 years old and plans to continue for many years to come. Farming is what he loves to do and FSA is grateful for the opportunity to help him achieve his dream.
